2012 Volunteering Legacy website
> is still 3 years away, but Greater London Volunteering has already set up the 2012 Volunteering Legacy website that is chock-full of useful information for people
interested in participating and volunteering for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and the Cultural Olympiad (which is an ongoing festival from 2008-2012 to showcase London and the UK to the world). It also has a neat embedded London events volunteering calendar (which you can add to your Google calendar if you like) and a range of useful resources and links for volunteers, volunteer organisations and event organisers. Good stuff.

The 2012 Volunteering Legacy website has been renamed GLV Events Volunteering and been redesigned. It’s primaryy purpose is to promote volunteering opportunities at specific charitable events.
Thanks for the update Pravin ….are you working on any legacy projects?
Well, the Events Volunteering website is the heir to 2012 Volunteering Legacy – but you can’t have a legacy unless the work is done now. So we’re trying to let people know of events that are going on in London where volunteers are needed. I am not sure if that answers your question.
The London Events Volunteering Calendar has just received a new volunteering and training opportunity for 16-25 years olds who are interested in working in the media.
